Assetline Finance partners with the Sri Lanka Climate Fund to verify our carbon footprint and chart the course to ISO 14064 certification.
As part of AFL’s commitment to embedding sustainability into our core operations and aligning with our broader ESG strategy, agreements were signed by Mr. Ashan Nissanka, Director & CEO of AFL, and Mrs. KHMH Harshani Abeyratna, Acting CEO of the Sri Lanka Climate Fund (Pvt) Ltd, on June 25, 2025, to commence the organizational-level Greenhouse Gas (GHG) verification process.
The verification is a prerequisite for obtaining the ISO 14064 certification, which is a globally recognized standard for GHG accounting and reporting. Achieving this certification will mark a significant milestone in our journey towards environmental accountability and transparency.
This initiative will outline our strategic goals in managing climate-related risks, reducing our environmental footprint, and aligning with emerging regulatory expectations. Further, it supports our commitment to being a responsible finance company and enhances our credibility with all stakeholders and the regulator.
